About the Role

We are currently developing a next-generation custom smartwatch platform and are seeking a highly competent PCB Designer with strong expertise in embedded hardware and compact PCB architecture. This role requires independent ownership of hardware design — from schematic conceptualization to production-ready multilayer PCB layouts suitable for wearable form factors. The selected candidate will work on high-density, battery-powered embedded systems and contribute directly to the core hardware architecture of the product. This is a performance-oriented role suited for professionals who demonstrate precision, accountability, and production-level design capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop complete hardware schematics from concept through validation and testing.
  • Design compact 2-layer and 4-layer PCBs optimized for smartwatch form factor constraints.
  • Execute high-density SMD component selection and routing.
  • Design and implement power management systems, including Li-ion charging circuits, BMS, and voltage regulation.
  • Integrate sensors, Bluetooth, and WiFi modules within embedded architecture.
  • Ensure signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, and overall hardware reliability.
  • Generate Gerber files, BOM documentation, and manufacturing-ready outputs.
  • Support hardware debugging, validation, and preparation for scalable production.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in SMD PCB design
  • Experience in wearable or IoT device hardware development
  • Working knowledge of ESP32, STM32, nRF52, or similar microcontrollers
  • Experience designing battery-powered embedded systems
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or EasyEDA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with flexible PCB design
  • Prior exposure to wearable electronics development
  • Understanding of mass production preparation processes
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance standards

Salary Structure

Initial Compensation

₹15,000 per month

Performance-based Revision

Performance-based revision up to ₹30,000 per month after evaluation, based on design quality, delivery timelines, system reliability, and technical impact.

Growth Opportunity

This position offers structured hardware ownership and the opportunity to contribute to a commercially viable wearable technology product from early-stage research to production deployment. High-performing candidates will receive expanded responsibilities and performance-linked compensation growth.

Application Process

Interested candidates must submit:

  • Updated Resume
  • PCB Design Portfolio
  • Gerber files or layout screenshots
  • Description of at least one complex hardware project

Note: Applications without demonstrable design samples will not be considered.
